You’ve submitted an event. Now what?
Promote, promote, promote!
After submitting your event listing, use branded marketing tools to promote your event. The more participants promote their events, the better for all!
We will be promoting events well before the deadline, so don’t wait to sign up and miss out on statewide event marketing.
THE CHECKLIST:
Download graphics / digital marketing tools.
Request printed posters + postcards to put up in your town.
Send out an event announcement to your mailing list.
Make at least three posts and tag the MCA @maine_crafts_association:
1) Announce that you joined the tour.
2) A two-week reminder to your followers.
3) The day before or day of your event.
Purchase yard signs, fill them out, and put them out a few days before the weekend.

To receive printed marketing materials, you can:
Pick them up at the Center for Maine Craft | 288 Lewiston Rd., West Gardiner, ME
Open daily 9 AM – 6 PMPick them up at Maine Crafts Association’s Portland office - by appointment only. Please email simonne@mainecrafts.org to coordinate.

Banner
A small banner to increase visibility. Sized at 1 ft by 2 ft with grommets, this banner can easily be hung on a mailbox or a home.

YARD SIGNS
Yard signs help visitors find your location and brand the event. Signs have room to add your event details and are corrugated plastic for multi-year use. These signs are intended to be put out a couple of days before the weekend.
Purchase one or more signs for your event if more directional / roadside help is needed for visitors to find you.
Each yard sign order will include free posters and postcards.
Order online for delivery or for pick up at the Center for Maine Craft.

Help visitors find your location and make your site easy to navigate during the weekend. We recommend ordering at least one sign for your site, and additional signs for nearby intersections or roadside directions to guide visitors to your location. Signs are made from durable corrugated plastic for multi-year use and include space to add your own event details.
For best results, place your signs a few days before the event.
