Marking Time – A Measure of Craft is an invitational exhibition of fifteen Maine artists working in craft-based mediums. The concept is to create an exhibition that explores how traditional craft techniques and materials, developed over time and practice, influence and inform artistic expression. Craft has often been associated primarily with utility and decoration. This collection of work aims to challenge the delineations between form and function, decorative and expressive, practical and emotional. The exhibition is co-curated by artists Diana Arcadipone and Judith Schneider at The Carriage House, 476 Main Street in Norway.
