Each year on the first weekend in October, Visit Freeport brings together over 150 of the best New England artists, makers and local food producers for a three-day festival throughout Downtown Freeport.
In addition to browsing local art, join us at the Discovery Stage on the L.L.Bean campus for three days of live music. And, thanks to our generous sponsors, it’s all FREE!

Common Roots Studio is a nature themed community oriented art working space and gallery. CRS features local Maine artists while promoting community building through the exploration of art. During the weekend, the studio will host a showcase exhibiting an array of Maine artists of all levels from established to fresh into the gallery setting! We will have light refreshments, live music at certain points in the day, and interactive art activities for kids and families!We will be open Fri 4-8pm, Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 9am-5pm!
See craftsmen at work in the historic Percy & Small Shipyard performing traditional skills like blacksmithing and wood carving. Plus, don't miss our summer exhibit Broadside: The Power of Print in the Maritime World, which explores the art, process, and history of print production. Open daily from 9:30 am to 5 pm.

I have a fully functioning metal working shop . I create home accessories which I have on display plus I create wall art , sculptures ,railings . I will be working on a project during the event .

Have you ever wondered how a mobile gets to balance?
During this open studio you will get the chance to see works in progress and you can witness the magic of sculptures taking to the air, balancing and moving.
Additionally walk through the garden display and enjoy the artwork on the open porches. Dynamically moving sculptures need to be seen in person, no photo will give justice to the magic. Enjoy this chance of seeing mobiles in different sizes and materials as well as jewelry and belt buckles. I look forward to meeting you.
