Visit Freeport’s 25th Annual Freeport Fall Festival

Each year on the first weekend in October, Visit Freeport brings together over 200 of the best New England artists, makers and local food producers for a three-day festival throughout downtown Freeport!
In addition to browsing local art, join us at the Discovery Stage on the L.L.Bean campus and the Second Stage in the Mallard Parking lot for three days of live music. There are also plenty of free activities for kids from make ‘n take crafts, to scavenger hunts and more. Free parking and complimentary ADA-accessible shuttle makes visiting easy! And, thanks to our generous sponsors, it’s all FREE!

OPEN STUDIOS + MAKERSPACE RIBBON-CUTTING
Ellsworths Downtown Makerspace 16 State Street, Ellsworth, MEJoin Heart of Ellsworth for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of their new makerspace in Downtown Ellsworth! This exciting new space will feature an exhibition gallery, artist studios, offices, and coworking spaces, providing a vibrant environment for creativity and collaboration in our community. The ribbon-cutting will occur at 5:00 PM, followed by a chance to explore the building and learn more about this exciting new space. The first show will be “The Life of the River,” an art exhibition by the local high school students from Ellsworth High School. Thank you to Rudman Winchell for sponsoring this event.

Our first show will be "The Life of the River," a stunning art exhibition featuring works by talented Ellsworth High School students. The show will open on Friday, October 4th at 5:00 PM, following the ribbon-cutting for the new makerspace at 16 State Street. Refreshments will be available.

Portland Pottery 118 Washington Ave, Portland, MEPlease join us at Portland Pottery for Maine Craft Weekend! Our gallery is open everyday 9am - 5pm and sells a collection of teacher and student work. We will offer studio tours for folks interested in seeing our various classroom spaces (wheel throwing and hand building), glazing areas, and high-fire reduction kiln. We are happy to answer questions about adult classes or other ways to engage with our community!
We also welcome you to pop down to our new, second studio location: 49 Fox St. This is a mid-fire studio where we offer private lessons, parties, youth classes, and adult intro classes.

Maine Craft Weekend at Artsworth
Artsworth Studios 25 Pine St., Ellsworth, MEA weekend of open studio activities! Artsworth annually creates this "hub" of fine arts activities in the building we share with our glassblowing neighbor, Atlantic Art Glass. It's a grand celebration of creativity by local makers, and you can find many of them here in one dynamic location.
Linda Perrin's team of glassmakers will demonstrate traditional glassblowing all day as they make glass pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors! Atlantic Art Glass's studio will be turned into a glass pumpkin patch as the molten glass is pulled from the furnace, blown, and hand-formed on the end of a blowpipe. There are bleachers set up, and refreshments will be provided for your comfort as you watch demonstrations. The glass pumpkin patch charms visitors of all ages!
Artsworth is considered an MCA HUB. Local artisans will share their work at the 25 Pine St. Warehouse—fine jewelry, prints, pottery, fiber art, and more! Everyone will be showing, selling, demonstrating, and discussing how they make their work.
Come one, come all! Artsworth prides itself on being welcoming to all people and focusing on building community one event at a time. We want to see you out for this fabulous weekend—see you there!
