Join Monson Pottery's raku firing which will begin at 9.30am on October 1st, with post firing reduction at noon, where red hot pots are drawn from the kiln and smoked in cedar chips before finally being cooled and scrubbed free of soot revealing iridescent glazes.
Come to the great neighborhood of Kittery Foreside to visit The Red Door Pottery Studio historic building where Elaine Fuller has been making pots for 15 years. Her Studio Assistant Hilary Rousselle will offer clay work demos. Their unique pottery will be on display and for sale. Refreshments will be provided. The seconds sale will benefit the local food pantry.

Rick's pottery is on exhibit throughout the gallery during the Annual Scenes of Maine exhibition of paintings depicting scenes in Maine through the eyes of established and nationally renowned artists. Join us as we host ceramic artist Jeff Whyman to build a hybrid gas-soda-wood kiln in the potato country of Aroostook County, Maine. At Caribou Kiln you can expect a welcoming atmosphere to observe the most intensive part of this project: completing the kiln.
Peter has been a potter in Maine for 51 years and forty of them in Camden. His pottery showroom and two days of a chance to watch him make his wares in the studio will take place at 80 Mountain Street (Rte 52) at the foot of Mount Battie on Maine Craft Weekend. Take a trip to beautiful Camden, climb a mountain if you wish and watch what Peter has loved doing for more than half a century. Yikes, 51 years! I still love it, and hope to see you here on the weekend.
Potter Peter Jones will be exhibiting at the Camden Library Art Festival during the Oct 5, 6 weekend downtown in Camden. His studio is just 3/4 mile up the road from downtown at 80 Mountain Street. Come see the event on that Saturday or Sunday to learn more about his 54 years as a potter!

Come witness the opening of the 5th train kiln firing in Bridgton! The train kiln is a wood-fired kiln that takes 35-45 hours to fire and 5 days to cool. The kiln will be opened at 10 am on Saturday the 5th with work from multiple artists. Work will be for sale directly out of the kiln.

We will be demonstrating how our large vessels and vases are made using hand-building techniques. In addition, we will be demonstrating throwing on the wheel and giving visitors the opportunity to try it out for themselves.

Explore the life and works of 80+ artists working with diverse mediums, goals, backgrounds, ages, and experiences and watch live demonstrations including printmaking, felting, tiny stone house building, and wheel throwing.
RWS is a multimedia artist space and home to the Clay, Print, and Wood Departments. Our studios are a community where members share equipment, ideas, tools, and support. RWS aims to help artists reach their independent creative goals by providing access to shared equipment, tools, information, and community. Open studios only happen twice a year.
