The ladies from the Bucksport Garden Club will have their popular pie and plant for sale from 9am-1pm, and this year will also offer some wooden garden decor, Christmas ornaments and their wonderful decorative wreathes. Everything for sale is all made by the garden club members, often "one-of-a-kind."
Drop into the library and try some hands on crafts. Make a keepsake box, personalize a bookmark, or bead a friendship bracelet.
Several Artists will be on site to show their crafts and local authors will present their books for signing. Lisa Oettinger will demonstrate her jewelry making techniques (1:00 pm), Jeff Longar will entertain with his wood carving/boat hull-making demo (11:00 am), John Wotton will work throughout the day (when there is sun!) to show how he burns wood designs by using a magnifying glass and the heat of the sun. Two authors will be on hand all day to discuss and autograph their latest books: Roger Greene, author of "In the Company of Trees" about the Northern Maine Woods and Jane Harvey Meade, author of "Narrownook", a murder-mystery novel based in Bucksport. Impromptu Watercolor and Acrylic painting-on-furniture demonstrations will take place throughout the day. The Lighthouse Gallery also displays the work of 60 local Maine artists in a variety of mediums. The lower level of the Lighthouse Gallery will also house the Fiber Arts Show described in a separate listing.

Numerous fiber artists will be demonstrating spinning, carding, dyeing, felting, and silk scarf painting, with many artists selling their wares. Includes a demonstration with natural dyes, and a presentation with materials on the toxic chemicals used in today's commercial textiles. (What toxic chemicals are YOU wearing against your skin?) Live animals on the grass outside of the show. Bring the family!
Nantucket Basket artist Marlene Greenlaw will be demonstrating the fine art of weaving in the Nantucket Lightship basket style. Don't miss this wonderful event, see how this historical tradition continues, to make assorted containers with or without bales, and with or without lids. Bracelets too!
Watch Colleen stomp some grapes "Lucy Style" while you browse Mike's artful designs made from retired wine barrels. Enjoy wine and tapas in the European-Style outdoor courtyard! You won't believe you're in Bucksport!
Live music in the center of downtown Bucksport will include Sara Trunzo, a Maine-based singer-songwriter who honed her musical skills in Nashville; and Kate McCann (aka Princess Pine), a banjo player and vocalist who plays maritime and old-time music and has performed regularly at Mystic Seaport in Connecticut.
Demonstration and presentation on dyeing with natural elements like plants and cochineal by sheep farmer and artist Sandi MacDonald. Create beautiful colors with natural elements, making your clothing safe to wear against your skin, without the toxic chemicals that are in most clothing today!

Watch local handmade papers artist Gigi Sarsfield as she works her magic with the making of lampshades at Port O' Call. With all of her own handmade fibrous, textured papers, Gigi crafts beautiful shades that will add ambiance to any room for years to come. She owns and operates the Handmade Papers Gallery in Brooklin, Maine.
Silvia Wight, creator of Memories From Maine will be at Pet Provisions where her doggie scarves and dog collars are sold, with other items she makes like throws and aprons for men and women. Meet Silvia and check out her doggie items plus other things she does sewing with "Maine fabrics".
Corn husk dolls are some of the earliest toys created by Native Americans and later adopted by European settlers. See this traditional craft by corn husk doll maker Betty La Forge. Although a common toy throughout the 19th century, this craft is not often seen today. This demonstration is being done by a member of the Bucksport Historical Society at their museum, located at the historic railway station.
See world-renowned jewelry tool designer Bill Fretz (Fretz Design) demonstrate the use of his tools at the Bucksport Historical Society Museum! Mr. Fretz’s jewelry-making tools are distributed worldwide. This is a special opportunity to see him work, demonstrating traditional silversmith techniques.
The museum is located at 92 Main St., in Bucksport.
