Common Roots Studio is a nature themed community oriented art working space and gallery. CRS features local Maine artists while promoting community building through the exploration of art. During the weekend, the studio will host a showcase exhibiting an array of Maine artists of all levels from established to fresh into the gallery setting! We will have light refreshments, live music at certain points in the day, and interactive art activities for kids and families!We will be open Fri 4-8pm, Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 9am-5pm!

We cannot wait to welcome everyone, safely, back into our makerspace with art for sale, studios and work space to explore, makers of fine craft and fine art to meet and talk with. Visit Anne Alexander Sculptors’ antique home and studio in the historic village of South Windham located on The Presumpscot River. She will have sculpture available in clay, wood and stone. Lovely trails also can be accessed nearby.

Shop Maine Craft presents Geometrics, a Center for Maine Craft exhibition of modern string art by Heather Kelly of South Portland, Maine.
Drawing inspiration from the natural world and sacred geometry, artist Heather Kelly has taken the old craft of string art and elevated it into a modern and captivating body of work. From the intricate design of a sunflower’s center to the spiral of a pinecone, she is drawn to the connection we have to patterns found in the natural world, the cosmos, and in our bodies. Made with reclaimed barn boards, painted patterns, nails, and adornments of intricately woven thread and wire, Heather Kelly’s solo exhibition of geometric wall art is on view at the Center for Maine Craft through Sunday, October 2, 2022.
The Center for Maine Craft is a retail gallery presenting and promoting over 300 artist-members of the Maine Crafts Association. One of two unique retail locations operated by Shop Maine Craft, the Center displays fine handcrafted objects ranging from traditional to contemporary; from thoughtful home goods to collectors items.
