Museum in the Streets – SELF GUIDED EXPERIENC

Take a self guided tour of Ellsworth’s history with Museum in the Streets. Ellsworth’s history is proudly showcased on 19 different locations around town. Your journey can begin at either of the large information panel at Knowlton Park or downtown on State Street just in front of Mac Revival. This project was initiated by an informal group of residents from Ellsworth’s business community, representatives from the Historical Society, Historic Preservation Commission, Heart of Ellsworth and Chamber of Commerce who collaborated on the project. Many hours were spent studying Ellsworth history, selecting photographs, writing accompanying narration, and determining site locations.
