Down East Dead and The Wayside Live at the Grand Theater

Join your community at The Grand Theater for the launch of our 6th annual Art of Ellsworth: Maine Craft Weekend event. Kick off a weekend filled with local art and talent Thursday night with LIVE music with Headliner Down East Dead and The Wayside. The Down East Dead attributes their sound to the Brent Mydland years of the Dead with whole-hearted energy, love, and enthusiasm. D.E.D. often ventures into the territories of the Allman Brothers Band, Santana, The Band, Rolling Stones, Phish and more. The opener will be The Wayside, a Maine-based power trio (Matt Johnston, James Rea and Corey Smelley) a blend of blues, rock, and funk reminiscent of the 60’s & 70’s.
