Gardiner Main Street – A Maine Craft Weekend partner

Explore historic downtown Gardiner and discover Central Maine’s vibrant craft scene! This year the weekend coincides with Gardiner Main Street’s annual “Swine and Stein Brewfest” on Saturday, October 7. Sample a variety of Maine’s craft beverages while enjoying live music.

Stop in to Monkitree for a woodturning demonstration, and explore our downtown stores and event vendors featuring work by local craft makers. Located just 3.5 miles from the Center for Maine Craft, downtown Gardiner offers great dining, shopping, and a beautiful waterfront park along the Kennebec.

Stone Broke Bread + Books presents Tourmaline Moose Ceramics Pop Up!

Musician and ceramicist Dan Usher will be showing lovely pottery pieces -- he says that he lets the clay and the glazes organically make their own decisions resulting in living works. He'll accompany the collection with atmospheric guitar stylings or come and sit in to play music with him. Small cups for herbal tea, espresso, or a Moroccan wine tray -- beautiful bowls to fit right in the palms, lobster claw ornaments, and specialty shapes like earthy creamers, mugs, and canisters. Noon-6pm Sat, noon-4pm Sun.
