During this 45-minute indoor cycle class we will embark on our signature meditation ride. The studio will be filled with art, various mediums, from local Saco-based artist Ramune Bulmer. Ramune's art is inspired on her Lithuanian roots, Maine, nature and the supernatural. This ride will be aligned with the emotion and intention of the art allowing participants to connect with the work at a more personal level, as we sweat and meditate. The artist will kick us off by sharing the intention and meaning behind her pieces.
The studio will remain open for an hour after class, accompanied by light refreshments, to allow individuals to speak with the artist and view the artwork in more detail.
Saturday October 7th, come over to Elements from 9am - 1pm to check out Sean Brewer's mobile shop. As October's featured artist, he will have shirts, prints, stickers, and more available for purchase. Later that evening from 6:30 - 8pm come by for a coffee or beer and enjoy Jason Roman's live music.
The Biddeford Mills Museum will be open from 9am until 4pm on Saturday 10/7/23. There will be two showings of our popular 30-minute film, A Walk Through History. The first showing at 11am and the second showing at 2pm.
Come create your masterpiece on the library's walkway with chalk!
We will have free food and drink, while exhibiting local Maine artists! CRS also has interactive arts for the family!
Stop into Wooven to watch live sewing with Albert the Tailor. Ask questions about his techniques, learn about his work with handmade fabrics, and browse through his designs. Learn about fair trade hand made goods from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and India!
Please join us at suger® (5 Washington Street, Biddeford) on Saturday, October 7th for a guided tour of our Angelrox® Design Studio located within the Pepperell Mill. We will offer three tours - 10a.m, noon, and 2p.m. You will see where our dedicated team of angels craft our versatile clothing designs with care and joy. We hand cut and stitch in our light filled mill space using traditional techniques. each piece is is sewn from start to finish by a single stitcher using American made machines that were invented in 1881 in New England.
Please come on by Saturday, October 7th from 10-4 to get a peek into my studio. As an oil painter, inspiration comes to me from my surroundings here in Maine - the mountains, the sea and the industry it supports. Joining me are guests Diana M. Coit (dianacoit.com) and Martha LaMarche (marthalamarche.com). We will have our work, drinks and snacks to share with you.
Mill Pond Ceramics Studio will be hosting a Grand Re-Opening in their newly expanded space inside the North Dam Mill. Visitors will be able to make a bowl to contribute to the Empty Bowls fundraiser and try their hand at wheel throwing, as well as browse our retail shop featuring member-made ceramics and other craft. See artists at work and talk to them about their process/technique. At 3pm, we will host Round 2 of our Amazing Pottery Smackdown where participants compete to see who can throw the highest number of consistent forms in 15 minutes.
Come see some glassblowers in action and shop the gallery for handmade glass! Demos will be happening through the day and customers will have the opportunity to sign up for future glass classes.
Drop in and try your hand at creating a clay pinch pot. Add coils for a unique one-of-a-kind piece to use as a bud vase or tea cup.
Come hang out with Biddeford's hottest new fiber arts collective, SEW WHAT?! in the most amazing studio space you will find downtown; The Art Certificate Program! Bring a project and work on it with your fellow crafty crafters while enjoying some lovely tea and cookies! Don't have a project? Just want a fun little something to do on a Saturday afternoon? We will have plenty of materials and tools available for a little of this and a little of that! Some of the tools available in the studio include: needles and hooks, knitting looms, scissors, etching press, iron and ironing board, cutting mats, etc... Materials include so much fabric and ridiculous amounts of yarn, ribbon, iron on embellishments, embroidery floss, assorted papers, and way too many other things to list! What's your CRAFT? We got you! *Unless it requires sinks or a heat source- we only have a bathroom sink and no stove top.
Families can drop in to the maker space at Mill Studio Arts to get crafty and make original works of art with a buffet of fun, mixed media materials! The maker space will be open from 2:00-4:00 on Saturday the 7th and 10:00-2:00 on Sunday the 8th.
Join us for our highly rated + requested terrarium class at our new plant shop located at 114 Main Street in Downtown Biddeford.
Absorb the healing energy of houseplants that surround you in the plant shop as Kristy Verdel of Moon Lady Plants guides you through how to build your own terrarium! By sinking your hands a little deeper into organic soil and working with reiki attuned plants, this class will not only ground you but also have you tapping into your creative side. Top it off with a crystal tumble of your choosing + bring your creation home!
You will be planting into a unique glass terrarium while unwinding + taking in the energy of the reiki infused plants around you.
You will have the choice of creating a succulent, fern or cactus terrarium.
Cost is $55, includes glass terrarium, plants (either succulents, cactus or ferns), moss, pebbles, organic potting soil, 1 crystal tumble + instruction.
Class size is limited and they have been selling out quickly, so be sure to register asap.
Additional crystals provided by Lily & Quartz (based in Portland, ME) are available for purchase in the shop!
Terrarium Building takes roughly 45 minutes. Additional 15 minutes is allotted for questions and cleanup for the next round.

A free-to-attend outdoor craft market of fine and local craft, organized by Fete Market and Mill Pond Ceramics Studio. The market will be located on the corner of Jefferson and Main Street, across from Elements Books Beer and Coffee, courtesy of Maine Community Bank.
